Breaking News!!

There is a banner running across the bottom of my television screen announcing ANS's funeral...

EWWWWW!! Hasn't she been dead for months?? Okay maybe not that long, but come on people, this is not breaking news... I have noticed the banner on there for over an hour....

How is this for breaking news....I-75 shut down in Atlanta... From what I have gathered on the news conference, they are claiming the driver took an exit at a high rate of speed, perhaps thinking he was one exit further along where I-75 and I-85 split (which is a high speed ramp).

Or this report.... Killer Tornadoes.... Very tragic indeed!! I have passed by this school numerous times, It is located in a smaller community and the effects of the storm will be felt for years to come!!

But ANS's funeral.........?

Hear hear!! I totally agree!! WHY is all this crap w/ ANS still on the news?? Whatever.

Anyway, my sis lives in Alabama (Tuscaloosa), and she grew up in CA...so the storms were pretty freaky to her yesterday. She said the tornado went right over them, but didn't touch down in their town...thank God! It's times like this that we wonder why we ever left California!

Sally, does your Sis know she is on the edge of a Tornado Alley?
Not to be the bearer of bad news and all, but my family has lived relatively close to that area for years (about 100 miles north)... I am glad your Sis did not have to experience the brunt of the storm!!

As far as California goes, can you say wildfires and earthquakes?? J/K

Is there really a safe place to live? Hurricanes, Tornadoes, earthquakes, blizzards......

I just saw the story about the bus. Wow, that's scary stuff. And the tornado and the school is sad and my heart aches for them.

As for ANS, it seems she was being pimped out and now in her death she is still being exploited. Let this tragic woman rest in peace already.

Yes, Sis knows she's in tornado alley...she's lived there for about 2 1/2 years now, and within the first 6 months she'd been "locked down" in Wal-Mart b/c tornados were swirling overhead.

Now I'm also in a tornado alley here in KS...give me wildfires and earthquakes ANY DAY! Of course, people out here say they'd rather have tornados...I think it just depends on what you're used to.

And can you believe the pink fuzzy blanket with rhinestone initials on ANS's casket? Things are indeed insane! You'd think they could bypass coverage of the funeral for coverage of the bus accident...now that deserves our attention and sympathy!

Ohhhh Sally, you did not really watch that stuff, did you????

Pink Fuzzy Blanket? I had no idea!!

You are so right about what people are "used to" I have experienced the whole Twister phenomenon several times... I even watch for them in amazement.... One ripped thru our neighborhood when I was achild, another chased me down the highway, another lifted my trailer inches off the ground and the most spectacular one formed directly above my home and touched down 1/2 mile away!!

Well, I know I'm a little older but I have been somewhere else instead of where I might have been at least 4 times when a tornado came by. I've watched them go by a couple of miles away. Alabama is prime territory. Ask G about the one that went through Guntersville while she and I stopped for gas, close call.
And on ANS, enough already. She isn't Elvis, after all!
