I was tagged for this post by Shell. A pleasant little Christmas meme... I really do enjoy doing these so you can get to know me better, but it takes me forever to get around to them.... I am sure there are several I have skipped along the way...

" When people say 'Christmas', you immediately think.... " I think of a trip back home to deliver presents to all those whom I love. I think of snow and lights, soft cheery music and egg nog!!



"Favorite Christmas Memory"..... Playing Santa to my nephews. Not really... I just literally delivered a sack load of goodies to them from all over the country.. I don't have one particular memory. But just knowing that my brothers will always include me in their at home family celebrations makes me all warm and fuzzy.



" Favorite Christmas Song/Carol...." Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow.. (No big surprise there)



" Favorite Christmas character..." I guess that would have to be Rudolph, seeing as how I love all things Reindeer!!



"Favorite Christmas Movie..." Well, I course it is It's A Wonderful Life... I just love Clarence!!



"Favorite Christmas Ornament/Object..." Hmmmm, once again I will have to go with all things reindeer.. I do have quite a collection. I have spent so many years as a single person, that I don't have objects that hold dear memories of time spent with a partner.. I will have to work on that!



" Plans for this Christmas..." As a tradition, I spend Christmas with my brothers family.... I will enjoy several days off from work with much needed Bri-baby time.. A little fussing with the Wonder Boy, and socializing with my SIL and her mother... A day will be spent with my mother, another at my Fathers home, and a few days at home alone to catch up on all that I procrastinated on this year.

So, I am supposed to come up with words to describe me that begin with the first letters of my middle name: RENEE

R ~ Resilient....My brother labelled me with this one... and YES, I am ! No matter what life throws my way, I always bounce back with a big ole smile on my face, ready to move forward!

E ~ Engaging....Okay, this is just another form of charming (my thesaurus told me so, if Sally can cheat, so can I). I have had several individuals who have made comments to me about being able to turn on the charm....and no one is safe, I will charm the pants off of anyone, just to put a smile on their face!!

N ~ Negative.... WHAT.. Surprise, I bet I caught you off guard with that one....I am somewhat of a pessimist. But only when it comes to a certain thing.... I spend 95% of my time full of optimism, but there is ONE topic that invokes a certain negativity in myself.... But it is all about growing, and I hope to see the silver lining in that aspect of my life soon as well....

E ~ Extreme......My moods, thoughts, ideas, perceptions.....all of which is felt in an extreme way. And I love being this way. No, I am not some deranged lunatic with massive mood swings. But I would rather feel everything with complete conviction as opposed to nothing ever really meaning anything. I think emotions are such a wonderful expressive thing. Normally, it is all about the good in life.. I am questioned often about why I am sooooo freaking happy...Well, I just am!

E ~ Effortless...... HUH? what?! Okay, maybe this is a bit of a stretch, but how many E words can you come up with.. Yes, I am energetic, too. But Shell already used that one. So, back to my explanation... No matter what I set out to do, or how difficult the challenge, I am always able to obtain it with very little effort. I just seem to pick things up naturally...

Okay, so now I am suppose to tag 5 people because there are five letters in my name....

Okay Shell tagged me for this one, but I did not follow the rules too well. Instead, because these Memes often get unpublished, I figured I better do this one quick before I forget.

So here are seven random/weird facts about me in no particular order...

1. I use to have severe social anxiety/panic attacks. It seems however, that I have somewhat outgrown this. As a young adult I had very poor self-esteem and could not look anyone in the eye. Now, I am the sunshine that lights up the room. I have something to say to everyone I come in contact with and am no longer afraid to do things alone..... I honestly can't remember how I felt back in those days, I just remember that I was always scared....So glad that is over!

2. I never watch television programs.... Everything I view is on DVD, including TV shows.. I am never home to follow any program with regularity, so I just get the series on DVD and watch it at my leisure....Except of course, a few choice college football games.

3. When I started driving the Big Rigs, I had a 4x6 block of wood strapped to the gas and brake pedals... I am 4'11"... Over the years, Truck manufacturers have begun to accommodate the vertically challenged driver, so now..... I can reach the pedals, however, I am almost sitting under the dash...

4. I have a very low tolerance for ignorant drivers... Today, there was a fellow in front of me at a traffic light. The light was green, the cars in front of him had pulled away, and there he sat talking on the phone, fooling around with some object and obstructing traffic....I blew my horn at him... As he looked in his mirror at me, he threw up his hands as if to say " WHAT?" Resisting the urge to yell at him and provide animated gestures (driving in NYC will do that to you), I motioned to the traffic signal, as it was turning yellow. He then floors it and darts through the intersection under a red light.... Hey Buddy, guess you did not notice the Law Enforcement Officer parked in the median, did ya?.... So, what could have ended with me feeling a tad bit of frustration, turned into a delightful situation when the blue lights came on...... YES, I DID LAUGH AT HIM..... OUT LOUD!! Idiot...

5. I miss mowing the grass... Seriously.. I have been in apartments for nearly four years now and my green thumb is wilting... My idea of relaxation is to play in the dirt, make things grow and keep them trimmed.... And I love the smell of freshly mown turf.......

6. I have never been out of the country, but have travelled through 46 states.. Too bad it was mostly for work....

7. I am also a pack rat, but you would never know it.. All of my hidden treasures are tucked away in boxes in the closet.... I really need to throw that stuff out because it is not memorabilia of any kind, just items I thought I would use at a later date... Maybe when I move, I can eliminate the stockpile..... Hey iMike, ready to go a Junkin'....

Okay, so there you have it. Kind of an odd list, but hey random does not imply structure or theme....So Kids, go have fun and tag yourself if you wish.....And for those of you who have tagged me in the past, sorry if I did not participate.. i will try to do better......

Mama Bear tagged me to participate in this meme.... I am suppose to tag folks when I get finished, but it is hard enough to get in a post sometimes, much less run around tagging people.

So, here are Eight Random Things about Moi





1) I have an extremely addictive personality.... I am surprised really, that I am not strung out on crack or meth or even marijuana for that matter. When I do anything more than lets say 3 times, it becomes a habit for me. For instance, I can go without coffee for years. One day I will want a cup, and the next thing you know I am drinking a gallon a day. Same thing with BC Powder (powdered aspirin), I will take one for a really bad headache, and whaaaa laaaa, I end up taking one every day!! Too bad I cant seem to get addicted to some really good habits!! And, no!! I am not doing crack or meth, just used it as an example because all of your die hard addicts are usually addicted to hardcore substances!!



2) I have become quite the slob!! I can't figure this one out.. Normally, everything has its place and I keep everything neat and tidy... But here lately, I will come in from work and within hours, the place looks trashed... I intend to straighten it, but inevitably I will only relocate the mess from one location to another...



3) I was uber timid throughout my entire late teens and early twenties. No self-esteem whatsoever. I think I may have missed out on some really great things during this part of my life. I walked with my head hung low and would NEVER look anyone in the eyes... Hmmmm, what's up with that?? It is funny to see it written down in words, because now... HOLY COW, now I have something to say to anyone and everyone...I pass out smiles like they are going out of style, and heaven forbid I get in on a conversation because I will end up dominating it with my silly stories!!



4) I have a hard time saying "NO" Well, not in all aspects! But when it comes to someone dumping their personal baggage on me, well I take. Even when I am frustrated beyond belief, I just sit there and listen. I offer advice, I comfort, I sympathize, I am the ultimate free therapist!! Even if it tends to add undue stress in my life, I will still listen quietly hoping the session will end soon. I just can't say NO!!



5) I hate my job!! Not really... I do enjoy the exchange of pleasantries with all the folks up north that I deliver to on a weekly basis. I occasionally enjoy the long scenic drives... Actually, I love a good two lane road, especially in a Big Truck. The Truckers crack me up!! My hate is solely devoted to the particular Rig that I am driving. It has to be the worst piece of equipment I have ever driven...The suspension absolutely sucks!! Constant bouncing!! My boobs hurt!! And now. my road rage is starting to show!!

6) Music makes the world go round.. I love music, any music!! It will elevate me to an emotional high, or reduce me to a thoughtful low.. Whatever the song maybe.. I swear music flows thru my veins, too bad I was never any good at musical instruments!

7) I absolutely abhor roaches and beetles... Snakes, mice, and spiders do not intimidate me in the least bit. Let me see a june bug and you will see a this little girl have the biggest hissy fit known to man...

8) I am a procrastinator.. Oh wait, most of you know this by now....I have several other memes that I have been tagged on, but I will get to them later..... Ha/ha

1. What time did you get up this morning? This morning, I slept in... Roughly 7:30 AM. When Truckin, I usually am responsible for waking up the rooster...4 AM

3. What was the last film you saw at the Cinema? Night at the Museum, I went with my Nephews... Dont get to the cinema much!!

I have been TAGGED!! again

Thanks to Angel, I have been tagged yet again. But I am up for a challenge, so I will reveal 5 more things you may not know...

Hmmmmmmm

1. The more I read of Angel's Cloud, the more I am convinced I must be her alter ego.... We have a lot in common.. In fact, her first four answers describe me unequivocally!! The fifth answer applies only to my feet!! Yes, my feet are claustrophobic!! They must have room to breath. At night when I sleep, my feet must hang off the edge of the bed, which puts my head in the center of the mattress!

2.I would love to live closer to my Family (I am about 4 hours away). However, a particular circumstance poses the threat of way tooooooo much stress, therefore I must maintain my distance...

3.I never WASH my face!! Even wearing make-up, I refuse to wash.. Actually, it breaks me out!! I will apply some baby oil to remove eye make-up, I will use a peel-off Hydroxy Mask once a week, but I never, never wash.. Rinsing in the shower, YES, scrubbing with cleanser..NO. And I rarely ever have blemishes!!

4. When I was a teenager, I had the entire bottom half of my head shaved, and the rest of my hair was dyed jet black. Skater Chic!! and it was only a short lived phase.

5. I am soooo in love with Nature that when I was a child I wanted to go live with Grizzly Adams!!

Five Things... you might not know about me!!

Recently my SIL did post revealing 5 little known facts about her. Her Mother has previously given it a shot. So I figured it must be my turn....

This should be fun!!

1. I have always wanted to be an actress.. (When I was a child I would reenact entire movies, with my stuffed animals as an audience. I can still recite the original Robin Hood cartoon movie to this day.)

2. If you tickle my feet, I will laugh for a moment. Then I will cry. Hyperventilation comes next. Most likely I will pee in my pants (this should be a good deterrent to prevent anyone from attempting the obvious) and then I will start to thrash wildly out of control until I hurt you.

3. I have amazing self-control...(I have only broken one nose while thrashing about wildly.)

4. I am clinically only 3-3/4 inches away from being categorized as a dwarf.

5. I have had strands of gray (or is it grey) hair since I was 8 years old!!
